The Helipad is very short and accessible, the big basement has a lot of easily diggable space, and is thus more quickly accessible than the other two base game lairs.A good island for anybody, Emma in particular, only one way in, no surprises, no rendering your deception minions and henchmen redundant. It was only physically possible in this lair. On initial release, the achievement trophy for "One Billion Dollars?" actually required one billion dollars. The island is a nightmare to traverse however you lay it out.You can relatively early, if you wish, convert a large portion of your basement into a dedicated power room. The "back door" can be easily extended to the casino if you wish and the layout is such that the lower floors are divided into two separate islands joined by a bridge on the fourth floor, so you can put all the sensitive stuff like your coms room on the Eastern island past the "choke point" and less sabatour and rogue prone stuff on the Western Island. Zalika's research boost helps here, cuz you'll need stairs quicker than other islands. Luckily, every floor including the basement has a lot of workable ground right from the get go, which is good, because you still have to start working on your super weapon on the first floor.A personal favorite of mine, this island provides a unique challenge to proper space management despite boasting the largest overall diggable area, most of that is in the basement and you start on floor 4.However starting strong with everything in place will put you in a good position later. It's quite a ways away from the casino, as well if you have a mind to extend your casino to the back entrance, it will take up a great deal of that aforementioned starting diggable space, thus doing so will require the later digging upgrades, and some remodelling. The helipad is long, making building a little more agonizing, and agents will start to use it as a back entrance after a short while. It boasts the smallest diggable area of the lairs, but it's more than enough.Floors three and four have significantly less room and the basement is a giant slab of tier 4 rock that won't be of much use until later. Perfectly suited for Max, in that it gives immediate advantageous utility that drops off in the early midgame, the large amount of tier 1 and 2 diggable area for the first two floors means early on you'll have ample room to carve out your base how you like it. This guide won't do anything as formal as scores or tier ranking, as I don't find that particularly useful. It's my hope that I'll provide some useful and accessible information to counter all the SEO garbage that doesn't give adequate or up to date information. Just going in, I'm using "definitive" to mean I'm covering all the things' utility comprehensively, not that my evaluation of things is the definitive one.
